AYLA AHYOUNG KIM, J.D.
Ayla Kim is a co-founder and partner of Kim & Toso LLP, where her practice focuses primarily on real estate law, business law, and corporate law. Since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2012, Ayla has represented individuals, investors, entrepreneurs, and corporations in a wide range of matters, including residential and commercial real estate transactions, business acquisitions and sales, incorporations, corporate reorganizations, shareholder matters, and commercial agreements.
Since establishing Kim & Toso LLP in 2017, Ayla has built a reputation for delivering practical legal advice and exceptional client service. She takes a hands-on approach to every file and is dedicated to helping clients navigate transactions smoothly and efficiently while protecting their legal and business interests.
Ayla attended the University of Toronto on various scholarships and graduated with High Distinction before obtaining her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Queen's University.
Prior to co-founding the firm, Ayla gained experience in both private practice and in-house legal roles, including litigation, corporate, and commercial matters. This breadth of experience allows her to provide thoughtful and well-rounded advice to her clients.
Ayla is fluent in written and spoken Korean and is pleased to assist clients in Korean.

JULIA A. TOSO, J.D.
Julia Toso is a co-founder and partner of Kim & Toso LLP, where her practice focuses on litigation, employment law, corporate and commercial law, and fractional general counsel services. Since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2015, Julia has worked closely with businesses and individuals on a broad range of legal matters, including commercial disputes, employment matters, contract negotiations, corporate governance, business transactions, and ongoing legal advisory services.
As co-founder of the firm, Julia is committed to providing strategic, business-oriented legal solutions that align with her clients' long-term objectives. In her role as fractional counsel to various corporations, she functions as a trusted advisor, helping organizations address legal challenges, manage risk, and support their continued growth.
Julia completed her undergraduate studies at York University, where she received an Entrance Scholarship, before earning her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Western Ontario with a concentration in Business Law.
Before co-founding Kim & Toso LLP in 2017, Julia gained experience in both private practice and in-house legal environments, focusing on litigation, business law, and corporate and commercial matters. Her combined legal and business perspective enables her to deliver practical advice tailored to the realities faced by modern organizations.
Julia is dedicated to building lasting client relationships and providing responsive, reliable, and results-driven legal services.
